About Us

Frontier Treks and Tours (FT&T) is a tour and travel business based in the USA.  Since 1994 FT&T has been offering ecotourism packages that allow its clients to experience not only the natural and historic beauty of the land but also the local people and culture.  FT&T prides itself in its responsible form of tourism that respects the environment as well as the local culture and is a member of The International Ecotourism Society (TIES).

We aim to provide high quality tour packages to responsible clientele wishing to engage in more than just the average “tourist” experience.

With our experienced staff FT&T is able to cater to the specific needs of each group by providing custom tour experiences in each of these unique locations.

FT&T’s Objectives are:

  • To provide our clientele with enjoyable and memorable tour packages.

  • To ensure that all of our tours are done in accordance with the TIES principles.
  • To have a positive impact on the countries in which we operate.
  • To be a respectable business of good standing in the communities in which we operate.
  • To be strong advocates of sustainable tourism and educators of environmentally safe practices.
  • To offer unique tourism destinations that provide a wide variety of experiences for our clientele.

FT&T’s Principles of Responsible Tourism:

  • We desire to instill in our clientele an awareness and appreciation for the culture and environment visited.

  • We believe the history and culture of a place visited is important, so we want to educate travelers in order that they better understand the beliefs and philosophy of the host culture.
  • We implement our tours in a way that upholds and respects cultural values and practices.
  • We avoid “tourist” traps/environments and seek to visit the culturally authentic environments.
  • We support the local economy by appropriately hiring locals to facilitate our tours in all possible situations.
  • We have an interest in the environmental wellbeing of the host culture, so we desire to educate and promote environmental responsibility within the local culture.
