Overview

Mt. Ama Dablam is regarded as one of the most beautiful mountains in the world situated in the Himalaya range of the eastern part of Nepal. It is located at a height of 6,812 m. The word “Ama Dablam” is derived from the Tibetan word which means “Mother with a jewel box”. The climb towards Mt. Amadablam gives you a clear observation from its South-Western Face which is situated near the neck of the peak where a large chunk of ice lies hanging like a small jewel box. Mt. Ama Dablam is one of the largest peaks in the Himalaya region of Nepal. It is located in the heart of Everest’s around Khumbu region which is close to the main trail towards Everest Base Camp. This mountain is favored by most of the trekkers around the world. The expedition towards Mt. Ama Dablam offers you the fantastic climbing experience in the magnificent setting along with the numerous culture and traditions. You can see the scenic diversions along the trail. The impressive beauty of Mt. Ama Dablam highly attracts climbers all around the world. The mountain was first climbed by the Anglo-American New Zealand team in 1961. The unique path towards Mt. Ama Dablam Expedition leads you towards the high valley where you can observe the majestic mountains.

The journey towards Mt. Ama Dablam expedition begins after your arrival in Kathmandu. After a sightseeing flight to Lukla, we reach Namche Bazaar which is famous for various groups of people with unique cultures and traditions. We then walk towards the higher area to Tengboche Monastery through the path of beautiful woodlands that are lined with rhododendron and pine trees. This trail offers you the tantalizing scene of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Kwangde, Thamasarkhu, Kangtenga, and the magnificent Mt. Ama Dablam at the near distance, with visit of beautiful monastery and getting blessed from the high priest Lama, we walk towards Pangboche where the route to Mt. Ama Dablam divers from the main trail to Everest base camp.

The itinerary is flexible for all groups of people including normally fit person. We have acclimatization days in several places so that we can plan for the forward trail and be prepared for the next trek. You’ll see the beautiful view of Kalapatthar which is situated at the height of 5,545 m. We walk through the majestic view of Dingboche, Lobuje, Gorakshep and observe the beautiful Everest base camp at 5,367 m with the exciting views of Khumbu ice falls and glaciers.

Day 3: Flight to Lukla and trek to Phakding (2,800 m)


Day 4: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m)


Day 5: Acclimatization at Namche Bazaar


Day 6: Trek to Tyangboche Monastery (3,860 m)


Day 7: Trek to Ama Dablam Base Camp (4,450 m)


Day 8: Basecamp Preparation day


Day 09 – Day 25: Climbing Period [Mt. Ama Dablam Summit (6,812 m)]


Day 26: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m)
