Overview

Baruntse expedition is one of the exciting adventures for the climbers who wish to climb the summit of 7,000 m in the remote region of Nepal. This climb offers a tremendously rewarding climb among the world’s highest peaks that lie in Nepal. Bruntse Peak is located at the height of 7129 m which is just in the south of the semi-circle of the beautiful mountains. The expedition gives you the beautiful views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse and Nuptse, and Makalu. The trail approaches base camp through the pristine wilderness surrounding of beautiful Hinku Valley and also the renowned Mera La of Makalu Barun. The climbing is considered as one of the easier climbs among the 7000+ m peak. This climb has a high success rate with returning safety. There is a huge glacial plateau from the base camp to the western col which makes your ascent challenging and inspiring.

In spite of the less altitude than its neighboring mountains, you’ll enjoy the mighty Himalayan peaks. There is a famous Lhotse south face and also the stunning Makalu west pillar. The process of climbing in this mountain needs some skills that are used to climb 8,000m peaks. There are the steep sections of ice at 50 degrees and a prominent ice cliff at around 7,000. This makes the South-East Ridge of Baruntse get respect and have a great effort to reach the final step to the summit.

The journey to Mt. Baruntse expedition begins after your arrival in Kathmandu. This expedition is properly designed for all the climbers with proper acclimatization. The climbing is easy but also requires some more stamina and skill to tackle various ups and downs along the way. We organize the refreshment and training program for climbing the Mt. Baruntse. We also set up our base camp at an altitude of 5,300 m. We’ll carry the required equipment and gear for the expedition.
