Overview

Tent Peak is a favorite peak of the Annapurna Region that lies at the altitude of 5663 meters. Tent Peak climb also commonly called Tharpu Chuli can be done by anyone who is physically fit during the months of autumn and spring. It is not surprising that most climbers choose Tent Peak climb for gradual acclimatization session and later, aim high peaks. 
 
Tent Peak climb traces the stone-steep trail of the Annapurna Sanctuary Trekking leading to Annapurna Base Camp. The region has rich lush subtropical jungles and rhododendron. The villages of this region are dominant to ethnic group Gurung and Magar. Besides, there are magnificent scenes of mountains, rocks, sharp edges and glaciers with amazing terrace fields. The tent peak climb comprises two base camp that is Tent peak Base Camp 4450 meters, and High Camp 5200 meters. Tent peak climb gives a stunning 360-degree panoramic view of high mountains like Huinchuli 6331 meters. Annapurna South 7129 meters, Annapurna I 8091 meters, Kangshar 7485 meters, Annapurna III 7555 meters, Machhapuchhare 7455 meters, and others many alike mountains. The Moraine Tent Peak lies in the center of the Annapurna Sanctuary.
 
The Tent Peak Climb is technically scaled at grade level 2 where occasional use of hands, ropes or chain is required to reach the summit. The Tent peak climb excursion starts from Nayapul following trek to Poon Hill and Annapurna Base Camp. The journey gets peaceful and adorable while walking between the several dense forest, settlements, suspension bridges surrounded by green hills and high snow-clad mountains.  
  
Tent Peak Climb: The best season
  • The months of Autumn September to November and spring from March to May are the best time to trek the Annapurna region.
  • Temperature during these months are moderate and favorable
  • Clear sky with an excellent view of mountains, flowers bloom, and hills filled with red rhododendron trees.
  • Summer has wetland and there is a danger of Avalanches and landslide.
  • Winter has heavy snowfall and most of the teahouses are close.

Day 1: Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu.


Our representative picks you up at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. As we march to the hotel, a representative briefly explains about the package.

Day 2: Preparation and Exploration day.


Day 3: Drive to Pokhara. Duration: 6-7 hours.


Day 4: Drive to Nayapul and trek to Tikhedunga (1577 m). Duration: 5 hours.


Day 5: Trek Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2850 m). Duration: 6 hours.


Day 6: Poon hill excursion and trek to Tadapani, 3200 meters, and 2549 meters respectively. Duration: 6 hours.


Day 7: Trek to Chhomrong (1950 m) from Tadapani. Duration: 6 hours.


Day 8: Trek to Dovan (2430 m) from Chhomrong. Duration: 7 hours.


Day 9: Trek to Deurali (3000 m) from Dovan. Duration: 5 hours.


Day 10: Hike to Annapurna Base Camp (4000 m) from Deurali. Duration: 5 hours.


Day 11: Exploration around Annapurna Base Camp and acclimatization day.


Day 12: Trek from ABC to Tharpu Chuli Camp (4600 m). Duration: 5 hours.


Day 13: Climb to High Camp (4900 m). Duration: 3 hours.


Day 14: Climb to summit of Tent Peak (5663 m).


Day 15: Trace back to Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3700 m). Duration 5-6 hours.


Day 16: Trek towards Dovan. Duration: 6-7 hours.


Day 17: Trek to Chhomrong. Duration 4-5 hours.


Day 18: Trek to Jhinu. Duration 3-4 hours.


Day 19: Trek via Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara. Duration: 4 hours.


Day 20: Drive to Kathmandu. Duration 6-7 hours.


Day 21: Fly back to the native destination.
